Our Favourite Looks from Saint Laurent's Winter 22 Collection
Discover Saint Laurent's Winter Collection by Anthony Vaccarello.
Throughout Saint Laurent’s Winter 2022 Women’s Collection show, one could distil the Art Deco feel that permeated from the runway. For this occasion, Anthony Vaccarello drew inspiration from the independent-minded activist publisher, Nancy Cunard, who audaciously dressed ahead of her time giving her own take on masculine wardrobes. Vaccarello imprinted Cunard’s ethos into his latest collection by giving Saint Laurent’s signature pieces a dramatic new shape.
This new silhouette is emphasised by the tension created between key outerwear items in denser materials which mirror the paletot-style business coats contrasted by flute-like dresses in delicate fabrics. Throughout the show, some flashes of transparency flutter by while unexpected footwear adds lightness to the matter and brash jewellery, stacks of bracelets of silver, gold and bronze, interrupt the thin and elongated figures.
