Our Outfit and Trends Predictions for Coachella 2022

After a two year long hiatus, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is finally back, and with it the long awaited festival fashion. For those who need a little refresher, Coachella is one of pop culture’s most popular events. Not only is it known for its incredible A-lister performers and artists, it’s also the place to put forth your trendiest and most fashion forward festival outfits. This weekend, music lovers by the thousands, influencers and celebrities will all flock to the desert for the festival’s triumphant return and with exciting headliners such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Swedish House Mafia, we are sure that we will not be disappointed. 

In the past, celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens and Kylie Jenner were donned the ‘Queen of Coachella’ title for their impeccable style. While Hudgens was recognized for her floral  bohemian outfits, Jenner made waves with her Coachella glam looks.  

This year, we are hanging up our floral headpieces and cut-off denim shorts. While we still expect to see some bohemian influenced styles as cowboy boots are surely going to make their way through the festival grounds, expect to see an incredible mix of neon coloured fits, knits, western wear, metallic and much more.

Crocheted pieces have proved to be a staple of Coachella every year. Let’s not forget to add that Covid has made knitting one of our favourite lockdown hobbies, so this year’s Coachella is sure to be filled with crocheted looks. 

We are going to see sheer outfits, or at least sheer details, pretty much everywhere. Whether it’s a full sheer dress or top, or details in pants, there are plenty of ways to elevate a look with a cheeky peek-a-boo. 

Crystal and metallic accents are sure to stand out and make their mark. Whether it’s in the form of Maddy Perez’s set from Euphoria or chandelier dresses, expect to see metallic and crystal statements draping over.  

As thrifting has become a huge part of the fashion scene these past couple of years, we expect to see the coolest vintage looks on display for Coachella. Think slip dresses, satin anything, or even corsets paired with belts and cowboy boots, giving off that og bohemian vibe.
