With a plethora of A-list names lining the front row (read: Kate Botsworth, Sofia Coppola, Brooke Sheilds, Diane von Furstenberg, etc.), expectations were at an all-time high for Raf Simons' highly-anticipated debut collection since his shock departure from Dior last year.
Set around artist Sterling Ruby's installation, "Parade" is Simons' tribute to America's diversity: a mixed parade of Wall Street suits, metal-tipped cowboy boots, PVC, denim, leather bomber and biker jackets that could not be more eclectic but all came together in cohesive chaos. As Simons said it best: the collection is "the coming together of different characters and different individuals, just like America itself".
