Moncler + Rick Owens Are Two Peas in a Pod

The last time Moncler and Rick Owens got together, which was in 2020, fashion’s Lord of Darkness got everyone on board with the idea, quite literally, with a custom tour bus — and, of course, a coordinated Moncler and Rick Owens collection to match. This time around, for their second tie-up, the Italian outerwear specialist and American fashion designer certainly didn’t sleep on things. The dark lord of the style went as far as revealing a soundproof sleep capsule with a formidable steel body, padded inside with Moncler’s recycled nylon for plush pillows and duvets.
The Sleep Pod, complete with its own ventilation control and video system, is accompanied by an equally impressive clothing collection, featuring “radiance quilting” on puffers and coats, as well as Owens’ signature elongated silhouettes, in a concise colour palette of black, dirt and dyed neutrals. Lighter denim pieces, including gowns, tunics and skirts, have also been configured to be long and dramatic — certainly more so than your average night gown. There are even loop scarves and a radiance quilt blanket made to ensure you can get the most luxurious beauty sleep.
