Loewe Spring/Summer 2018 Collection Launch in Seoul
Earlier this month, Loewe unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 collection for the first time since Paris Fashion Week — this time, in the heart of Seoul.
With an exclusive launch presentation held at Layer 57, Loewe played host to some of Korea’s brightest glitterati, including actresses Ko So Young and Sulli, actor Nam Joo Hyuk and models Irene Kim and Lee Ho Jung. The man behind the collection himself, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, also made a special appearance at the event.
The night came alive as guests were treated to a cocktail reception and an exclusive first look at the collection, which comprises of classic garments cleverly remixed with a multitude of textures. Embodying the duality of the modern jetsetter, the collection features functional details, complemented by feminine pastel panels, gingham prints and paisleys.
Layer 57 was elaborately transformed especially for the occasion, too. Large-scale tapestries taken straight from Loewe’s runway show were hung around the industrial space, alongside moonjars that added a Korean touch.
"Korea's vibrant cultural and artistic scene fits well in Loewe's modern identity," said Anderson of the fashion house's choice of venue. "I look forward to strengthening the brand’s presence in the country and collaborating with the teams there."
