How to wear Pantone's colour of the year 'Very Peri' for 2022

This periwinkle blue shade has a warming, red/violet undertone that brightens up the coolness of blue. The result? A fresh, calm yet vibrant statement tone to add to your 2022 wardrobe.

Bottega Veneta has several accessories in Pantone's pick for 2022. Muted enough for spring, just bright enough for summer and cool-toned enough for winter. This transitional shade is one that can be worn year-round. 

The Cassette bag has been a celebrity and influencer favourite but if you'd like something a little more unique, the Classic bag in Lavender provides a little texture and girlish charm. Featuring a hand-crocheted jersey textile and braided trim, this is definitely one for spring or summer. For something a little sleeker, the Clip bag also comes in a Periwinkle shade. The gold finish metal closure adds a touch of sparkle that is just right for when winter rolls around.  

The Valentino Stud Sign Shoulder bag comes in a purple shade that is very similar to Pantone's Veri Peri. This bag has not only been spotted on influencer Negin Mirsalehi, it provides just the right amount of edge and colour to jazz up any outfit throughout the year. With shoulder bags back in trend for the season, you'll be getting two for one with this chic little number.  

If you are raving over this pretty shade, why not try a monochrome look a la American fashion blogger Aimee Song? She was photographed attending Acne Studio's Paris Fashion Week show decked out in layered periwinkle knits. Her outfit was accessorised with the Micro Lady Dior bag in a cloudy blue. The bluer periwinkle tone added a little contrast to the more purple-toned periwinkle of her outfit.  

For the summer season, opt for a brighter hue of periwinkle like Swedish influencer Matilda Djerf. Her satin slip dress in this dreamy, bright-pastel purplish-blue shade is accessorised with gold to create an elegant summer look.

She went full-on matchy-matchy with satin heels and eyeshadow in a similar shade. The high slit on her skirt gave the look some serious drama to complement the bold shade. 

This versatile shade works well alone but it is a great statement shade to accent with a print. For CDFA Fashion awards look, Anya Taylor-Joy wore a custom Oscar De La Renta dress with a matching blazer that featured a dramatic peplum. She accessorised with a leopard print mesh fascinator hat and gloves to create a quirky yet still chic and elegant look. The dark lip added an extra dose of drama to the outfit that felt like a modern interpretation of old Hollywood glamour.
