Harry Styles Stars In The Latest Chapter Of Gucci's Film Project With Gus Van Sant
Gucci ambassador and L'Officiel star Harry Styles is the latest celebrity cameo in "Ouverture of Something that Never Ended", the seven-part film series that the Italian house has made together with director Gus Van Sant. The week-long project serves as the debut of Gucci's new collection, and is also part of a digital fashion and film event entitled GucciFest, in which artists and muses to the brand such as Billie Eilish, Jeremy O. Harris, Ariana Papademetropoulos, Florence Welch, and even other designers connect over their artistic perspectives.
For his episode, the third in the Van Sant epic, Styles donned a vintage-style tee that read "Gucci Loves Pink Eschatology 1921" — a reference to the connection between humans and the universe as well as the year that the Gucci house was founded. On the back of the pink shirt, a "25" alludes to creative director Alessandro Michele's favourite number. Featuring music by Kim Gordon and an appearance by art critic Achille Bonito Olivia, the short — as seen above — is joined by separate works by rising designers Bianca Saunders and Mowalola.
The rest of the GucciFest lineup is packed with even more talent, spotlighting 15 independent designers in total, from Collina Strada to Stefan Cooke, and many more friends of the house.
