Fendi Fall/Winter 2017-2018

The Fendi muse makes her appearance in a polished collection that harks back to the label's fabled beginnings

It’s the morning after the night before.

Long-time collaborators and formidable duo Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi teamed up once again to present the Fendi muse for Fall/Winter 2017-2018.

So who is she? "A cinematic character pacing the streets of Rome at dawn" – her free spirit encapsulated with a highly chic, highly polished collection that traces back to the Italian label's storied roots. Fine craftsmanship was the focal point, as seen by the tailored suits and blazers in Prince of Wales checks and herringbone wools, sheer dresses constructed with embroidered spirograph daisies and organza florals, delicate cut-out knitwear, and geometric prints inspired by Viennese woodblock printing. Every piece on the runway was anchored by the same carmine thigh-high latex boots – adding a sultry undercurrent to the Fendi muse. The accessories were just as luxe: the Baguette, Peekaboo and Kan-I bags appeared in an opulent array of striped python, ‘double F’ logo print and patchwork velvet, striped mink and leather fringe.
