Fendi #BaguetteFriendsForever Winnie Harlow And Shannon Hamilton Take On Miami
International Friendship Day isn’t officially until July, but with Fendi, every day is a good day to celebrate your BFFs. Especially your #BFFs, which is to say, #BaguetteFriendsForever. The Italian house launched the video series last year to mark the comeback of the legendary Baguette, and all that it stands for: powerful femininity, timeless elegance, impeccable craftsmanship, and above all, true friendship. The latest short film to be released stars none other than besties IRL Winnie Harlow and Shannon Hamilton, who take on Miami with a couple of Baguettes in tow.
Titled The Unexpected Baguette, the episode begins with the duo having a heart-to-heart over the phone, clearly missing each other from being in different cities, before Winnie heads to the Fendi store in Miami’s Design District to take a look at the brand’s new collection. Mesmerised by the FendiFrenesia Baguette, which is ingeniously infused with a bespoke scent for an extra sensory dimension, she hears someone exclaim, “Wow, nice bag”. To which she responds with that iconic line, “This is not a bag, it’s a Baguette!”
Turning around, Winnie realises that Shannon has flown down from New York to surprise her, and the two #BFFs embark on an adventure around Miami, from getting their hair done to cruising down Ocean Drive in a sleek cabriolet, accompanied by their faithful companions – a vivid green Baguette embossed with the double-F logo, a knotted leather version in pink and brown, and the adorable teeny-tiny Pico Baguette Charm. One more surprise is sprung when Shannon asks Winnie to open the boot of the car, where she finds her very own FendiFrenesia Baguette.
Money can’t buy friendship, but it can buy a sumptuous Fendi handbag, which is surely a close second.
