Fashion Futurism: A Closer Look At The Fendi x Chaos Collaboration

Earlier during fashion week in February this year, Fendi unveiled a collaboration with London-based accessories label CHAOS, for a series for 'tech jewellery' pieces that give that added touch of luxe to our everyday accessories - think laptop covers covered in mink, and glitzy iphone pouches, gold airpod cases, and more. Fast forward several months, and we would've thought our relationship with technology would become even tighter than ever before?

So, it makes sense then, that we'd want to dress our favourite tech gadgets in some of the most fashionable garbs (might as well, since we aren't headed out to get dressed up as much as before). Which is where Fendi x Chaos comes into play. 

The collection was born out of mutual love for vintage cigarette cases, gold lighters and evening clutches, with longstanding friendship between Chaos designers Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall's longstanding friendship with Karl Lagerfeld, and continued by the house's artistic director Silvia Venturini Fendi. It witnesses designs perforated and engraved metal shapes with Fendi's leather craftsmanship, taking metals and leather to transform everyday pieces into jewel-like items.

Inspired by old Hollywood glamour, a chic palette of black and gold was carried throughout the collection to create seek holsters for everything from your earbuds to iPhones, to cheekier creations such as cases for your shot glasses (yes, you read that right) and touch screen pens that also double as an earring and charm, which can all be clipped onto your favourite Fendi acessory - from Fendi's belts and lanyards, to bags, sporting Fendi's signature "FF" monogram logo throughout.
