Emily Blunt to Host the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards
The ‘Jungle Cruise’ star has been announced as the official host of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)’s annual Fashion Awards, to be held this year on 10 November.
We’ve seen her nail look after look in the 2006 cult-favourite film ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ as Emily Charlton and on multiple red carpet events as herself — more notably, the 2021 Met Gala, where she stunned in an ethereal silver ensemble by Miu Miu.
Now, Emily Blunt follows in the footsteps of esteemed hosts like Tracee Ellis Ross and Seth Meyers as this year’s host for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)’s annual Fashion Awards.
“Emily is one of the most talented actresses in the world. Her timeless style and elegance light up any room,” says CFDA Chairman Tom Ford in an official press release. “The wonderful thing about Emily is that she is both kind and intelligent. I have great admiration for her, and I am so happy to have her as the host of this year’s CFDA awards.”
Taking place on 10 November at the Pool + The Grill within the Seagram Building on New York’s Park Avenue, we have no doubt that Blunt will grace the event with her witty and smart British humour throughout the evening whilst joining the industry to commemorate the achievements in fashion this year.
