It&rsquo;s an age-old question that has only gotten harder to answer in self-isolation: what should I wear today? If your answer falls into any of these categories &ndash; sweatpants, leggings, ratty t-shirts, and pyjamas &ndash; then you should seriously consider switching up your work from home wardrobe. Because while it&rsquo;s very tempting to roll out of bed and straight into the workday in your cosiest clothes, doing so could have a detrimental impact on your mood and your productivity. &nbsp;

The term &ldquo;enclothed cognition&rdquo; is used to describe the effect that what we wear has on our psychological processes like emotions, attitudes, self-evaluations, and interpersonal interactions. Which is a fancy way of saying that how we dress actually does affect how we think and how we feel. Of course, no one is suggesting you wear a three-piece suit or an evening gown around the house (although if you want to, then you do you!), but you certainly shouldn&rsquo;t let yourself slide into slob territory either. So then, back to the question, what should you wear today (or any day)? The humble slip dress is a simple and oh-so-stylish solution to that quandary.

With a super soft feel and figure-flattering fit, a slip dress adds an instant dose of glamour, while still being comfortable enough to curl up in for a movie marathon or a bout of reading (or a nap). It&rsquo;s also the perfect one-and-done outfit, meaning you can just slip one on and be good to go. And with a choice of mini, midi, and maxi lengths, and a plethora of styling options, you won&rsquo;t be bored of this look anytime soon. Throw a tailored blazer over a slip dress to make it more appropriate for a Zoom meeting, layer it over a button-down shirt or t-shirt for your next Skype dinner date, or wear it under an oversized hoodie when you next venture out to the always freezing supermarket.
