The Streets Of Manhattan Is Céline Dion’s Runway
Previously, we’ve written about Celine Dion’s Carrie Bradshaw moment, but her recent outfit choices have inspired us so, it deserves yet another comprehensive look. After all, in these dark times, at least we have Céline Dion, amirite?
This season, the singer was noticeably absent from Paris Fashion Week, and was instead on a world tour for her Courage World Tour. Passing through New York, where she was performing for a series of dates, the diva took the opportunity to organize her own Fashion Week, on the sidelines of her shows.
At 51, Celine Dion has now established herself as an icon on the fashion scene for several seasons. But the diva was unfortunately not present to attend the fall-winter 2020-2021 fashion shows. But never mind that, though -- the singer organized her own Fashion Week on the streets of New York, where she performed for a series of dates as part of her tour "Courage World Tour."
On February 29, Céline Dion made her first remarkable outfit wearing a total Marc Jacobs look with ultra regressive accents. The next day, it was in Brandon Maxwell, where she appeared in black belted train with trainers and waders. Reviving the Sixties , the singer then gave pride to the Art Deco movement with flowers worn as all-over, a signature look of the most prominent British fashion designer at the moment: Richard Quinn.
And for an evening look, the artist opted for a total Proenza Schouler look, playing on the mix and match of leather and lurex materials for a night at the ballet. For her third New York show organized in Brooklyn, she made her most theatrical outing, wearing a Michael Kors dress upgraded with a cape and a hunter-style hat, before opting for a fuchsia pink silhouette by Peter Do. But it was on her last day in New York that the singer organized her most noticed release, a real revival of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and The City . Combining a knitted sweater with a baggy maxi skirt in pink and dotted with flowers, Céline Dion paid tribute to the city in Oscar de la Renta. In total, no less than seven calibrated outfits that the singer staged, proving once again her status as a true fashion icon.
Of course, with such a series of power moves like these, the internet was bound to react. Here are the best tweets on her fashion marathon:
