Celebrating 25 Years of the Baguette with Fendi’s Reopened Takashimaya Flagship Store
Dedicated to the iconic bag, the Maison's reopening party was attended by stylish local celebrities and friends of the house.
In conjunction with the reopening of their new flagship store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Fendi planned a party to commemorate Fendi’s Baguette bag, befitting the Maison's chic image. Designed by Kim Jones, the Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, and Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear, Fendi’s 25th-anniversary collection of the Baguette bag has been garnering attention globally. The capsule collection carries elements co-designed by Tiffany & Co, Marc Jacobs, Sarah Jessica Parker and Porter.
The glamorous partygoers included renowned celebrities such as Zoe Tay, Sonia Chew and Ayden Sng. Decked in countless variations of the iconic bag, friends of the house Glenn Yong, Iman Fandi, Narelle Kheng, and many others attended the opening event, in support of the capsule collection.
Fendi’s new Women’s boutique at Takashimaya highlights the house’s Roman heritage, through innovative design and traditional elements that pay true homage to the brand’s commitment to Italian luxury. Visitors can experience the height of Italian fashion through the store’s facade which takes cues from classic Italian architecture, with arches, marble and design details that allude to Roman fountains.
The VIP room is pretty in pink – with soft, pink crystal marble and powder pink furnishings – whispering moments of understated elegance and femininity. Finished with brass and steel, Fendi’s new boutique strikes a balance between tradition and modernity, prompting visitors to consider the influence of heritage on contemporary styles.
