Burberry Celebrates The TB Monogram Collection With A Pop-up At Marina Bay Sands
Burberry will be hosting a pop-up at Marina Bay Sands Singapore for 2 weeks from 23 August to 5 September, in celebration of the brand's new Thomas Burberry Monogram Collection.
The installation is made in reference to the architecture of British royal buildings while delving into the idea of contrast and perception. This is seen where the pop-up is filled with stacked up cardboard building blocks with contrasting silver and golden mirrored cubes. They are accompanied by rectangular blocks covered in Monogram packing tape, altogether forming an abstract kingdom of Monogram castles.
Burberry's new Thomas Burberry Monogram collection can be found at the pop-up. The collection brings us a new signature house code with interlocking TB initials in the shades of Burberry beige and brown, celebrating the brand's founder and heritage.
The Monogram, designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci with British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville, was released for the first time in August last year. Tisci got the inspiration to make a brand new house code from the collection of 20th-century Thomas Burberry logo motifs in the house's archives, upon his appointment at the House of Burberry.
A red, white and black Monogram stripe is featured across the collection's accessories and ready-to-wear pieces, embellished with the TB initials.
