Braun Büffel X Phunk's Love-Is-Love Collection Pushes the Boundaries
Joining forces with Singaporean artist Alvin Tan, Braun Büffel inaugurates a one-of-a-kind Love-Is-Love-themed collection
The collision of fashion and art comes in full swing at Braun Büffel. After embarking on an artist collaboration series, the German house turns to art to imbue their creations with this flair of artistic liberty, yielding to sensational art-meets-fashion alliances. Pushing the boundaries further at Braun Büffel, meet the Maison’s latest collaboration with Singaporean artist, Alvin Tan. As the co-founder of the art and design collection Phunk, the multi-disciplinary artist enjoys melding ideologies between art and commerce, befitting for this cross-collaborative series.
Titled 'Love-Is-Love', the limited edition capsule features bold and experimentative hand script graphics as an expression of the endearing spirit of love: Something that is pure and does not discriminate. The collection consists of a t-shirt, leather bags and accessories, and other brand merchandise.
As stated in the press release, “The Love-Is-Love philosophy envelopes significant political, social and environmental movements of this new generation. Love is the greatest force that can truly eradicate divisiveness from our world. Love is infinite.”
As experiential retail stands at the forefront of the intersection of fashion and art, the artist collaboration has unveiled an immersive experiential art installation along Orchard Road, right in front of ION Orchard and Wisma Atria.
The Love-Is-Love art installation by Braun Büffel showcases hand-scripted artwork by Alvin Tan. Built around a 3.6 infinity mirror made of 55-inch LED screens, anticipate animated love-themed visuals where visitors can interact and customise their own animated selfies. Passers-by can scan a QR code for an Instagram-worthy moment, and send personalised messages of love via a microsite to the wall to create the quintessential animated selfie backdrop.
As a supporter of Singapore’s local artists, Braun Büffel elevates the perception of the local art scene, offering new ways of appreciating art and fashion in the same space.
The Braun Büffel x Phunk capsule collection will be available online here and in-stores at all Braun Büffel boutiques at ION Orchard, VivoCity, Suntec City Mall, and Westgate, as well as selected retail counters in leading department stores. The Love-Is-Love art installation will also run from now till 6 December.
