All The Stars Spotted at The Launch of Burberry’s Pop-up Seongsu Rose
As part of Burberry Streets, the Seoul takeover pop-up was attended by Seventeen’s Wonwoo, Lee Dong-wook and Bright Vachirawit.
Home to the city’s latest trendy cafes, thrift shops and indie designers, the Seongsu area is the up-and-coming art district in Seoul. Nestled in the heart of this hip neighbourhood is the new pop-up from Burberry. In celebration of the brand’s first collection under the direction of Chief Creative Officer, Daniel Lee (known for revitalising Bottega Venetta), the British luxury label has unveiled Seongsu Rose, the latest edition of Burberry Streets.
Burberry Streets was first introduced in London in September for London Fashion Week. Now, with Seongsu Rose, Burberry fans can flock to the space to experience the Seoul iteration of brand’s city takeovers for themselves. Star attendees at Seongsu Rose included Thai actor Bright Vachirawit, Seventeen’s Wonwoo, Lee Dong-wook, Lee Hyo-ri, and Sik-K as well as Korean models Irene Kim and Sora Choi.
Within the walls of Seongsu Rose is the Petal Maze installation, an immersive, sculptural space that exhibits the Burberry Winter 2023 collection. Doused in the brand’s new royal purple, the maze plays with petals, leaves and stems to create a larger-than-life event for visitors as they get to know the pieces within the collection. The pop-up also offers visitors a closer look at some Burberry signatures, such as the rose print and the Equestrian Knight Design, which has been refreshed under Daniel Lee’s charge.
Just like in London’s version of Burberry Streets, visitors who enter Seongsu Rose can get a taste of British fare at Norman’s. The North London café has a food pop-up within the space, presenting elevated takes on classic British cuisine, for guests to relish in a true Burberry experience.
