All Love for Louis Vuitton’s Sporty Pre-Fall 2022 Collection
The maison’s collection is an athletic affair, twisting emblematic House codes together with details from sports attire.
Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection is a sophisticated tribute to athleisure. Pops of colour pepper the silhouettes inspired by racing, equestrianism and tennis. Through the lens of David Sims, the campaign for the collection stars Australian actress Samara Weaving in a series of wind-swept images.
Comprising several chapters, the first takes its design cues from tennis attire – its elegance and timelessness taken up a notch through some cool-girl finesse. Next, the House plays with English eyelets and the key and chain motif that appear throughout the collection. The maison also looked towards uniforms and a French-focused preppy style, delivering a blend of discipline and confidence with classic Vuitton sensibilities.
Grass green, sky blue and sienna – a trio of nature-centric colours anchor the collection, manifesting through Damier or the iconic LV monogram. Key bag styles from the brand, including the Coussin and OntheGo, are painted with a fresh and urban glamour. And making good on their promise of being more sustainable as a luxury fashion brand, the Pre-Fall 2022 collection highlights a range of fluorescent Loop bags made of 100% eco-responsible velvet jacquard – perfect vibrant additions to any handbag collection.
