5 Celebrity and Influencer Favourite Bags to Wear for 2022

Bottega Veneta's Mini Jodie bag has slowly risen to become one of the "it" bags amongst celebrities and influencers alike. However, when the original Jodie bag first made its debut, it did not initially have a name. It was only after a picture of Jodie Foster shielding herself from the paparazzi with a large, black Bottega bag surfaced, that it was christened. 

Reimagined in this cute yet ultra-chic, mini silhouette, former creative director Daniel Lee put a knot on the handle, adding his signature twist to the now insta-famous accessory.

Apart from the classic intrecciato leather weave, the Mini Jodie also comes in other textures and a myriad of colours for all of your styling needs. The elegant curve of its body extends through to the handle creating a shape that is dressy enough for the evening and relaxed enough for a day look. 

Daniel Lee's Bottega Green seems to be a popular shade when it comes to the Mini Jodie. Spotted on fashion influencers Pernille Teisbaek and Danielle Bernstein, the yellow-toned green is a perfect all-year-round shade. Style influencer Camila Coelho was spotted in an edgy crop top, carrying a fur textile, deep purple version, a subtle nod to the popular fur bags of the currently trending, Y2k era fashions.

Move over Birkin, there is a new Hermès it-bag on the scene. First introduced by the brand in 1892, the Hermès Kelly Bag has gone through various transformations over the year, evolving to its current iconic silhouette that is the epitome of effortless chic. 

Perfectly for everyday wear, the classic, present-day Kelly features a sleek, trapezium-shaped body with two straps. There are two versions of the Kelly, the Sellier Kelly (a favourite of actress Grace Kelly in the 1950s) and the Retourne Kelly, a later addition to the Kelly family.

The Kelly Sellier has its stitching on the outside of the bag, creating a more defined, formal silhouette. Harder leathers like Box Calf or Epsom are used to create sharper edges, further enhancing their shape and structure. The Retourne Kelly, on the other hand, has its stitching on the inside and is crafted with softer leathers like Togo and Clemence. The hidden stitching effect is achieved by first stitching on the outside then turning it inside out, resulting in a slightly more relaxed shape.

The Baguette bag was first conceptualised by the granddaughter of Fendi's founders, Silvia Venturini Fendi but has been reimagined over the years. Most notably, Karl Lagerfeld's addition of the FF logo. An abbreviation for "Fun Fur", the FF was a nod to the House's beginnings as a fur and leather shop. Fresh off the runway of Dior's 2022 cruise collection, the Dior Vibe Hobo bag is already making waves. Born from the imagination of creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the black and white versions with contrasting 'CHRISTIAN DIOR PARIS' signature on the underside, seem particularly popular with the likes of influencers such as Matilda Djerf, Valentina Ferragni, Caroline Daur, and Leonie Hanne.

Kim Kardashian was seen with a mustard yellow version, Aimee Song, with a deep, forest green, crocodile textured version, and Danielle Bernstein for a delectably summery, turquoise version to pair with her tiered, multicolour fringe ensemble.
