It was a huge moment for the eight-member K-pop sensation as they headline UK's biggest music festival for the time.
Congratulations are in order for Stray Kids and their dedicated fanbase, STAYs! The dynamic ensemble, consisting of members Changbin, Felix, Hyunjin, Lee Know, Han, Seungmin, Bang Chan, and I.N, marked a triumphant return to London, nearly five years in the making, with their UK festival debut. Taking center stage at the prestigious British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park Festival on Sunday, the group heralded this moment as a pinnacle in their career.
"This is a career highlight," proclaimed the globally celebrated K-pop sensation. "It's a really big festival and it's a really big space. It'll be really interesting to see how much the energy we bring to it will change that," mused Han, moments before the group electrified the crowd with a 100-minute long high-energy set. The performance, attended by thousands, also featured an exclusive preview of their forthcoming comeback single, 'ATE', from their eagerly anticipated EP, set to release on July 19.
"It really means a lot to us. It's been a while since our last album. With this album, we really want to emphasize our eight members, how genuine we are with music, and we've also put in a lot of styles of music for everyone out there to enjoy," expressed Bang Chan. "We're bringing out all we can at this time and that makes us confident," added Changbin. Their third Korean-language studio album, "5-Star," garnered global acclaim, ranking as the second biggest-selling album of the year according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
Since their debut in 2018, put together by JYP Entertainment through a reality show, the eight-member group has captivated audiences worldwide with their eclectic sound and chart-topping hits like "God's Menu," "S-Class," and "Maniac." The band has also unveiled dates for their upcoming tour, promising electrifying performances across Asia and Australia. Fans can look forward to multiple nights at Seoul’s KSPO Dome in August and September, followed by headline shows in Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Taiwan, Japan, and more.
