Season 2 of Hit Korean Series, 'Moving' is Officially Confirmed!
The multi award-winning superhero series that has taken the world by storm is going to be back with a brand new season
Over the last two days, Disney+ held their 2024 Disney Content Showcase for the APAC region, here in Singapore. Alongside press conferences with stars of upcoming shows slated for 2025, some exciting announcements were also made. One of the biggest ones was the confirmation that season 2 of the highly successful Disney+ Original series, Moving.
First released late last year, the action series about people with superhuman abilities living among us has captured hearts all over the world with its set of memorable, compelling characters and intricate plot, written by the original creator of a beloved webtoon of the same name, Kang Full. Spanning over 20 episodes, the series explores the stories of these superhuman beings being used by the government and sinister entities as tools to their benefit. And while the ending was a satisfying one, there is certainly room for more!
Moving is actually part of a larger series written by Kang Full, affectionately dubbed the Kang Full universe. The other released works in the series include Apartment, Timing, Again and Bridge. All of which are interconnected with Moving actually being the fourth chapter to the saga. Hence with the incredible success and reception of Moving, it's no surprise that Disney+ has greenlit a second season and during the content showcase was confirmed to currently be in production.
The announcement was met with cheers from the crowd of press and media partners in attendance which goes to show how beloved the series has become. It is also critically acclaimed, winning the Baeksang Arts Award Grand Prize – Television at last year's Baeksang Arts Awards. This was on top of winning other categories including Best Actress, Best Writer, Best Visual Effects, Best Newcomer Actor and Best Creative. Naturally, Kang Full will be back at the helm as we eagerly wait to see which part of the Moving universe he will take us to next.
In the meantime, you can dive into another compelling tale imagined by Kang Full in the upcoming Disney+ Original series titled, Light Shop. Albeit this time, it will be a spookier one as the series tells the story of strangers stuck in the void between life and death as well as a mysterious light shop at the end of a dark alley with a mysterious secret. Spooky and suspenseful, Light Shop is set to premiere December 4.
