NewJeans Drops New Teasers For Their Comeback Amidst Media Storm
The rising superstars of K-pop are back with not one but two brand new singles, dropping right around the corner.
It's a tumultuous time for fans of K-pop and NewJeans in particular due to internal business conflicts within their talent agency, ADOR and HYBE, that has gone very public. Despite the media storm, the gorgeous ladies of NewJeans are keeping their chin up and staying focused on the music and their upcoming comeback.
The group debut stunning teaser photos of their highly anticipated double single release, consisting of two tracks titled, "How Sweet" and "Bubble Gum". The music video of the latter will be pre-released at midnight, April 26 while "How Sweet" will debut on May 24, which is the official release day. Interestingly, there will be two versions of the tracks with each one having a Weverse version besides the official one.
As for the teaser images, what can we say? Minji, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein and Hanni do not miss when it comes to modernising the Y2K aesthetic for the new generation. Spotted are beanies, bandanas, oversized hoodies and sweaters but styled in new refreshing ways that is so NewJeans-coded. The teasers also showed new hair-looks! Hanni in a chic short bob, Danielle sporting her naturals curls (much to delight of fans) as well as blond locks while Hyein sported trend red tresses, which caused quite the buzz among netizens. The members also brought their own twist to preppy varsity fashion with expert mix-n-matching that still embodied youthful innocence.
