#LOFFICIELONTOUR Week 2 Roundup: Charlie XCX, Ashley Smith, Cautious Clay and more
Another week has gone by, and that means another week under quarantine, and the second week of L’Officiel On Tour.
Our global festival, #LOfficielOnTour, lets you tune in every day on our Instagram for your dose of fun and entertainment, created by talent from around the world. It's our way of celebrating and sharing creativity, hope, kindness, and unity during this period where we are all staying at home.
This week's roundup welcomes Charlie XCX, Ashley Smith, and more.
MONDAY
We kicked off the week with singer-songwriter Cautious Clay. Under quarantine in Massachusetts, the Brooklyn-based artist and John Legend collaborator plays the saxophone, flute, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, and apparently, also his hands. He shares how to create a brands new song, with no instruments at all.
TUESDAY
Next up, we have Ashley Longshore: fashion darling, and often described as the female Andy Warhol, the artist shares an at-home quarantine cookies recipe - with a twist. Entertaining and a true testament to her bawdy humour, her recipe is something you have to witness for yourself.
WEDNESDAY
Ryan Heffington is a Grammy-nominated choreographer, director and performance artist who shares the behind the scenes of his live-streamed #SweatFest workout. He is the mastermind behind ’Chandelier’ music video for #Sia, movement for #AnselElgort in ‘Baby Driver,’ and Netflix’s ‘The OA, and next he’s teaming up with @HamiltonMusical’s #LinManuelMiranda on his forthcoming film. Here, he gives us an abridged version of his sweatfest - get ready for a fun and much needed mid-week dance sesh!
THURSDAY
British singer and producer Charlie XCX needs little introduction. For #LofficielOnTour, the singer brings us to her home in Los Angeles, where she has transformed it into a recording studio/venue, as she performs ‘forever,' the first single from her #Quarantine, #stayhome album ‘how i’m feeling now,’ out May 15.
FRIDAY
It’s hard to nail down the eclectic spirit of the city of New York, but Richie Shazam comes close. The photographer is a runway regular, having walked for designers like Christopher John Rogers and Vivienne Westwood.
Enlisting stylist Briana Andalore and other friends, Shazam’s latest creation is a Bubble Girl look for their L’Officiel On Tour cover and a visual performance piece in which they revisit their own body of work.“Being able to collaborate and connect with my close group of friends, most of whom I haven’t been able to see since in isolation, was such a special opportunity. To know that we’re still able to create together from a distance has been one of the best parts of my quarantine.”
SATURDAY
Saturday night fever? We’ve got DJ and fashion’s favorite gap-toothed model Ashley Smith to host the party! Pro-tip: this DJ-set feels even better paired with a #Quarantini.
SUNDAY
Simon Haas is one half of the Haas brothers, where the twin brothers have created special commissions for the likes of Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace, and have their work in the permanent collections of the Met Museum and LACMA. This Sunday, the artist got back to basics, sharing an exclusive drawing lesson for #LOfficielOnTour. So get your 2B pencils ready! From initial cross hatching to a full sketch of a Roman bust, this is the intimate drawing tutorial you didn’t know you needed.
