IVE's Latest Comeback EP "I've Mine" Becomes Their Best-Selling Album

Released on October 13, the sextet’s newest comeback showcases the girls’ diverse musical abilities.

IVE, one of South Korea’s top 4th-generation girl groups, just released their EP I’VE MINE earlier this week. The 6-track EP has been well-loved by DIVEs (their official fandom name), with sales skyrocketing since its release on October 13. With three title tracks in this EP, fans have been loving the group’s efforts to expand their discography by trying out genres new to the group. Music videos for "Either Way", "Off the Record" and "Baddie" have been unveiled to accompany the drop of I’VE MINE, much to the delight of DIVEs.

With the Baddie video, I’VE MINE has been capturing the attention of watchers globally, amassing over 11 million views in just 5 days. The music video features the six girls as a powerful girl gang that metamorphoses into cat-humans, as they groove to the hip-hop and rap-heavy track. And it seems this new direction is paying off. For I’VE MINE, first-day sales on Korean music chart Hanteo racked up more than 750,000 copies, compared to IVE’s previous record of about 600,000 sales on the first day of the drop of their first studio album I’ve IVE.

I’VE MINE also sold over 1 million copies alone on the fourth day of release, effectively beating the group’s previously held first-week sales record in just four days. The EP is already set as the group’s best-selling release, and it’s not hard to see why. IVE is known for their catchy tunes and killer dance moves that always go viral in K-pop communities. The group, consisting of members Gaeul, Rei, Liz, Leeseo, Yujin, and K-pop it-girl Wonyoung, has been at the top of their game since their debut. Just one week after their debut performance in 2021, the team took home their first music show win with Eleven.

A powerful presence in the Korean entertainment scene, the six girls have also taken up many endorsement projects together. With a score lower only than NewJeans, IVE was listed in second place on the Brand Reputation Rankings list for October, as published by the Korean Business Research Institute, once again locking in their domination of the Korean and global markets. Outside of their group promotional activities, members Yujin and Wonyoung have demonstrated their influence both as individuals. Yujin was named as Fendi’s ambassador this year in January, and Wonyoung has been a house ambassador for Miu Miu since December of 2021.
