EXO's Chen and His Non-Celeb Wife Finally Tie the Knot in A Magical Wedding
The wedding that took place on October 22 was attended by EXO members including Kai and Baekhyun.
October seems to be the month of romance – another celebrity wedding has taken place this month. This time, it’s Chen from top K-pop boy group EXO. In a warm and intimate wedding on October 22, the EXO vocalist renewed his vows publicly with his non-celebrity wife. His groupmates were also in attendance at the beautiful ceremony held at Lotte Signiel in Seoul. While photos and videos during the event were kept to a minimum to protect Chen’s wife’s position outside of the public eye, a few guests shared images of the exquisite wedding hall.
Chen initially surprised fans back in January 2020 when he shared a heartfelt letter announcing his upcoming private marriage to his then-girlfriend. Together, the couple welcomed their first child in April that year. Following that, Chen’s agency SM Entertainment announced in 2022 that Chen was now a father of two, along with the news that the couple’s original plans to hold a wedding had been thwarted by COVID-19. So, three years after the couple’s legal marriage, Chen finally held his fairytale wedding with the mother of his two children.
The wedding that took place on Sunday evening was a gentle, sunlit affair. The couple had chosen to hold the ceremony at sunset, which flooded the venue with a golden glow. The husband and wife renewed their marriage vows in front of their family and friends, including EXO members Kai, Sehun, Xiu Min, D.O. and Baekhyun. Chen even sang "Best Love" at the wedding ceremony, his OST track from the 2014 romance K-drama It’s Okay, That’s Love, which he dedicated to his wife. Fellow EXO member Suho sang at the ceremony too, celebrating the couple’s union with his song "Let’s Love".
