All The Biggest Celebrity Weddings of 2023
Whether small and tasteful or large and glamorous, these celebrities know how to tie the knot in style.
Celebrity weddings usually have three main elements: exceptional fashion, an aesthetically pleasing venue, and a recognizable guest list. The celebrity weddings of 2023 were no exception. From A-list actors to high fashion models, continue on to find out which of your favorite stars took the trip down the aisle this year.
Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley
At an intimate wedding ceremony in New Jersey actress Margaret Qualley married singer Jack Antonoff. It was a low-key affair, as the couple said "I do" in front of a small group of family and close friends. There were a select few celebrity guests including Taylor Swift, Zoe Kravitz, Lana Del Rey, and Channing Tatum. For the nuptials, Qualley kept it simple in a classic white halter gown and white Mary Jane flats.
Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt
After a 19-year engagement, Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt finally tied the wedding know with a private wedding ceremony in Geneva. Former Ferrari Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa shared photos on his Instagram of the ceremony. As for the wedding attire, Todt kept it classic with a dark blue suit, while Yeoh wore two outfits — a silk cream top and a tasseled maxi skirt followed by a nude lace dress with a boned corset bodice on top.
Barbara Palvin Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse
One of our favorite childhood twins is newly married! After dating for five years, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin announced their engagement in June and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Hungary, where the model is originally from and her parents now live. They even said their vows in the same place Palvin’s parents got married. The Victoria's Secret Angel wore a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood custom strapless gown along with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, particularly that '90s-inspired choker that perfectly complements the dress.
Sofia Richie Grainge and Elliot Grainge
Warning: this is one of the most beautiful celebrity weddings of 2023—prepare yourself accordingly.
In a stunning destination wedding in Antibes, South of France, in April, model Sofia Richie and music executive Elliot Grainge tied the knot after dating since 2021. Beyond the scenery and star-studded guest list, what stands out most from the affair was Richie's set of three dresses from Chanel: a recreation of a hand-beaded gown from the house's Fall/Winter 1997 Haute Couture show for the rehearsal dinner, a custom halter wedding dress with a unique sparkling veil for the ceremony, and a fun and flirty mini dress inspired by Claudia Schiffer for the party.
Taylor Hill and Daniel Fryer
Taylor Hill and private equity investor Daniel Fryer's western-style wedding in the Colorado Rockies gave a whole new meaning to "country wedding." The ranch venue makes sense—the couple first met in Aspen in 2019, before getting engaged in 2021. To keep in theme with the country aesthetic for their welcome party, Fryer went full cowboy from the bolo tie and Stetson hat down to the Tecova boots. For her part, Hill wore a House of Flora dress. She looked stunning in a custom Etro gown for the wedding, too. With a touch of Western magic, Hill and Fryer are sure to find a home on the range together.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens
The Olympic gymnast just won gold again! In another of the celebrity weddings of 2023, Simone Biles married NFL player Jonathan Owens in a sunny beachside wedding in Cabo, Mexico. The two first met in 2020 on the dating app, Raya, and Owens proposed two years later. Biles wore a Galia Lahav gown for the ceremony, perfectly lengthening for the petite athlete. The coastal ceremony even included a surprise visit from some whales who popped up to say congrats. Along with the finer details, Owens also requested an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
Beanie Feldstein and Bonnie-Chance Roberts
Beanie Feldstein married producer Bonnie-Chance Roberts in May after first meeting in 2018. Over Skype for a casting call, Feldstein tried out for a part in Roberts's film, How to Build a Girl. Soon, the two met in person and Feldstein learned she got the role. From coworkers to good friends to eventual romantic partners, their relationship developed over the course of filming the movie. Roberts soon proposed in 2021, and now the couple can also call themselves newlyweds. They married with a nostalgic summer camp aesthetic (so far, the only celebrity wedding of 2023 to be themed as such) in the Hudson Valley, and they wore only the best: a Gucci gown for Feldstein and Gucci pink-hued suit for Roberts.
Kate Bosworth and Justin Long
While some celebrity weddings of 2023 are lavish destination occasions, other couples opted for something a little more private. Actors Justin Long and Kate Bosworth fall in the latter category, as the two tied the knot in Queens in early May after less than a month-long engagement. They announced the news on Long's podcast, Life is Short, and that was the same place where he referred to the actress as his "now-wife," seemingly confirming their marriage. The wedding was impromptu and low-key at a hotel in New York City, and a series of cute Instagram posts in the Galápagos Islands seems to hint at a honeymoon for the happy newlyweds.
Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola
Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola married in June after two years of dating. Though, the couple's relationship dates back all the way to 2015 when they met as costars on the set of the acclaimed AMC show, Mad Men. Their wedding paid homage to their shared history, as the ceremony took place at the filming location for the show's series finale, Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, California. Besides the locale, the intimate ceremony included one of the main ingredients of celebrity weddings: the couple's celebrity friends, like Paul Rudd, Brooke Shields, and Tina Fey. It's safe to say that these two Mad Men stars are mad for each other!
Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton
You would think that the Vegas wedding between actor Lukas Gage and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton would be a little more attainable for the average person, easier than jet setting across the globe for a destination event. But, not everyone can have Kim Kardashian officiate their wedding. The two got engaged in April after sparking romance rumors in February, and their whirlwind Vegas wedding fits the spontaneity of their relationship. And, to add a cherry on top of the already glitzy and fun wedding, legendary musician Shania Twain serenaded the nuptials.
Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup
Joining the celebrity weddings of 2023 are Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup, who have been dating since 2017. The actress shared some details of her wedding to the actor, stunning in a floral white gown at a Manhattan courthouse. She even added that her bouquet came "from the deli" in an Instagram story. The two met as costars in the Netflix series, Gypsy, but it wasn't until five years later that they made their red carpet debut in 2022.
Marc Anthony and Nadia Ferreira
The Latin singer married model Nadia Ferreira in a star-studded wedding in Miami in January. The two got engaged in May 2022, only three months after hard-launching their relationship on Instagram. They married at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami surrounded by their celebrity pals including Victoria and David Beckham, Salma Hayek, and Luis Fonsi. Ferreira stunned in a Galia Lahav gown while Anthony wore Dior. Now, they share a son together, having announced the pregnancy on Valentine's Day and welcoming their first child in June. Anthony has been married three times before, most notably for ten years to Jennifer Lopez.
