Update:

Since the initial announcement of Golden, Jungkook has unveiled not only the full tracklist but also the main poster for the title track of the upcoming album. For the all-rounder’s first solo album, he will be performing and promoting the main track ‘Standing Next to You’. BTS revealed the main poster for the song, which features the 26-year-old against a bold but clean background, leaving much to the imagination.

The full tracklist of 11 songs for Golden was also released to the public recently, drawing immediate attention from BTS’ fanbase ARMYs. Aside from previously-known features from Latto and Jack Harlow in the upcoming album, the tracklist revealed that Major Lazer and DJ Snake were contributing to some of the numbers on Golden. Other big names also joined hands to produce songs on the album, including Shawn Mendes, Ed Sheeran and Diplo. With only about two weeks left before Golden goes live, it’s safe to say that we are all hyped to see what kind of music Jungkook is bringing to the table with this star-studded lineup of features for his solo debut album.

Original, October 6:

Jungkook, a member of global pop culture icon BTS, just announced that he will be releasing his first-ever solo album Golden soon. It’s no surprise the artist has titled his album as such, given his diverse talents on stage, which has earned him the nickname “Hwang-geum Maknae” (meaning the Golden Youngest). Jungkook’s solo debut has been wildly anticipated, and it’s obvious he’s excited to show it to us too. The singer has already released two digital singles that fans can expect to see on the album. ‘Seven’ featuring American rapper Latto has been consistently topping charts all over the world since we got our first listen back in July. Just a few days ago, Jungkook also dropped ‘3D’, with a feature by rapper and singer Jack Harlow, that has been trending on YouTube and music charts globally.

As announced on global fandom platform WeVerse, the album is “inspired by Jungkook’s golden moments”. A teaser image of the album was also shared by BTS’ agency on the site. Golden will comprise 11 tracks in total, so fans can expect a lot of new Jung Kook music coming their way. The announcement on WeVerse also promised fans that Jungkook will be actively making various appearances and promoting his Golden album with special stage performances. So ARMYs, fret not. You’ll get to see your golden boy performing live soon enough.

Speaking of live shows, Jungkook will also be appearing on Music Bank on KBS on October 13, performing ‘3D’ ahead of the album’s release. The groovy R&B track captured listeners globally since its drop on September 29, and it has been claiming top spots on iTunes and on Spotify’s Global Top 50 playlist since.

Golden is available for pre-order starting today. The full album will be released on November 3.
