BTS' Jungkook & Han So-Hee Play A Turbulent Couple In His Solo Single "Seven"
The K-pop icon just dropped his highly-anticipated first major solo single, “Seven,” which stars Han So-hee and features buzzy female rapper, Latto
After much anticipation, BTS' golden maknae and global K-pop icon, Jungkook dropped his first major solo single, "Seven" today with an accompanying music video starring South Korean actress, Han So-hee. The catchy pop track is entirely in English and also features one of today's rising female rappers, Latto. With it's bouncy, summery beat and Jungkook's swoonworthy falsetto, the single is an instant bop about his undying devotion and unrelenting love. The tone of the music video, however, plays with contrast to the track's sweet, almost confessional lyrics.
In the music video, Han So-hee and Jungkook play a couple in a (literally) stormy relationship, seemingly on the brink of a breakup. In the midst of their passionate arguments, Han's character keeps pushing Jungkook away and he continues to follow her, whethering the storms, floods and natural disasters to be by her side. These natural disasters are all visual metaphors of the lengths he's willing to go for the one he loves. Not even death can keep this man from her!
In an interview with Variety, Jungkook said, "As this is my first step forward in the spotlight as a solo artist, I want to show a more mature and grown version of myself." And that he is currently working on his first solo album, though it is still in its early phase.
