Starring Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and Park Bo-young, Concrete Utopia is a dystopian film directed by Um Tae-hwa (who also recently directed IU’s Love wins all MV). A massive earthquake destroys Seoul overnight, leaving but one place intact – the Imperial Palace Apartments. As survivors flood the building, the apartment’s residents band together to create a utopia standing amongst the destruction of the outside world.

The Accidental Influencer is a new Taiwanese rom-com drama that follows the story of Red Ho. Fresh out of love and out of a job, Red is down in the dumps when she suddenly becomes a viral Internet sensation after airing her grievances on social media. Inspired by the true story of Taiwanese blogger SHOWON, this new HBO series stars Kuo Shu-Yao, Aviis Zhong, Sun Ke-Fang and Ken Lin.

DC’s 2023 film Blue Beetle tells the tale of Jaime Reyes, who also becomes the titular character of this action superhero movie. A recent college graduate, Jaime Reyes is thrown for a loop when he receives a set of armour that grants him superpowers, after an ancient alien relic Scarab appoints him as Blue Beetle. The 14th film in the DC Extended Universe sees Xolo Maridueña, from Netflix’s Cobra Kai, as the main character.

For crime-action lovers, you don’t want to miss Smugglers. Set in 1970s South Korea, Smugglers follows a group of Hae-nyeos (or female divers) who become involved in elaborate crime after unexpectedly losing their jobs. The 2023 film starring Kim Hye-soon, Go Min-si and Zo In-sung, shows the group’s resourcefulness and adaptability as they land a big opportunity to make it rich after meeting the ‘Smuggling King’ Sergeant Kwon.
