Louis Vuitton is officially entering the beauty sphere, and it’s doing so with an undeniable statement. The Maison’s latest venture, La Beauté Louis Vuitton, is set to debut this fall, marking a new chapter in luxury cosmetics.
And at the helm of this dazzling new endeavour? None other than Dame Pat McGrath, the industry’s most celebrated makeup maestro.
For over two decades, McGrath has shaped beauty narratives on the world’s most prestigious runways, including Louis Vuitton’s own. Now, she’s bringing her signature artistry and trailblazing vision to the heart of the brand’s first-ever makeup line.
She says, “Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftmanship, creativity and innovation. The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty.”
The inaugural collection is poised to be as sumptuous as expected — 55 exquisite lipsticks, 10 nourishing lip balms, and eight richly pigmented eye palettes, all crafted with the brand’s signature savoir-faire.
While this marks Louis Vuitton’s official foray into makeup, beauty has long been woven into its DNA. The Maison’s iconic vanity cases, dating back to the 1920s, once housed bespoke brushes, compacts, and powders. Even its earliest handbags were designed with a woman’s beauty essentials in mind.
