Regé-Jean Page was born in Zimbabwe in 1990 to a pastor and a nurse and moved to London when he was 14. Regé-Jean’s name is pronounced like ‘Reggae’ and Jean is pronounced the French way.
He soon became interested in the performing arts and joined the Drama Center, where he graduated in 2013, and started his artistic career in theater and participated in plays that received good criticism. At the BBC, he played his first prominent role in the series Waterloo Road in 2015. And on American TV, he debuted in 2016, in the series Roots and For the People.
When he was still a teenager, he played drums in his brother's punk band and in an interview with the publication "The Fall", the star said that at the time of the band he dyed his hair purple, green and blue and that it was in music that his notion of career has changed.
