Bella Hadid Expresses Support For Ex-Boyfriend, The Weeknd, After Grammy's Snub
Some famous couples often split up and get into long, hot disputes through the media, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Bella Hadid and The Weeknd.
The 24-year-old model has a good relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Abel Tesfaye, and she has just shown her full support for the singer after his controversial exclusion from the Grammy nominations - one of the biggest awards in the music industry.
The nominees were revealed last week and it was a real shocker that the singer - who, by the way, released an excellent album with record sales - was not on this list. Not even a category.
And obviously this gaffe would not go unnoticed by his fans and friends of the singer. Celebrities like Elton John and Bella Hadid expressed their indignation about the case on their social media. Elton said the Canadian singer's hit, 'Blinding Lights', deserved to be nominated both in Record and Song of the Year (two major Grammy categories).
In the post, one who liked and supported it was Bella Hadid herself. Bella and the singer ended their relationship in 2019.
Over the past few days, The Weeknd has expressed its feelings about Grammy contempt very clearly, accusing the awards of 'remain(ing) corrupt', telling them in tweets and Instagram posts: 'You owe me, my fans, the transparency of the industry.'
The Grammy president responded to The Weeknd's public claim, saying: 'We understand that The Weeknd is disappointed that he was not nominated. I was surprised and I can empathize with what he is feeling ".
