Officially, it's called the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit – but unofficially, the Met Gala is fashion's biggest night on the social calendar. This year, the who's who of fashion, film, music, and entertainment came together in celebration of Rei Kawakubo. Better known as the godmother of anti-fashion, Kawakubo is the second living designer (after Yves Saint Laurent in 1983) to be honoured by The Costume Institute, with a retrospective exhibition themed “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between".
