Kim Jones Invites You To Ponder the Past and Present with Dior Men’s Winter Campaign
A modern moment in fashion gets a blast from the past with Dior's newest hommes campaign.
Kim Jones’ campaign for Dior Men’s Winter collection this year is a symbolic convergence of the past, present and future of Christian Dior. In this decisively French collection, Jones pens a love letter to Paris, the birthplace of the Maison.
Lensed by Rafael Pavarotti, the stills are captured in a setting echoing the scenography of the Men’s 22/23 runway show. A dreamy landscape of the Alexandre-III Bridge drapes behind the muses of the campaign – each evoking a romantic, soft spirit. As a figure of the merging of past, present and future, the Alexandre-III Bridge perfectly captures the poetic flow of this collection.
Silhouettes that meld together heritage with modernity, style with functionality and the formal with the informal take over the campaign, as a true ode to French fashion. A twist of freshness finds its way onto classic Dior elements. Berets and capes are made over with contemporary prints and finishes. Contrast stitching and embroidered Cannage playfully adorn signature Dior garments, in an amalgamation of legacy and bold novelty.
Jones’ conversations, through his Winter 22/23 collection redefine the boundaries of time, with a range that speaks to the legacy and innovation of Christian Dior.
