The spirits expo is the first in Singapore to feature a collection of local and independent brands, white-label selections, unique whisky collections and a curated Baijiu showcase.
In the wide world of liquors, there are many unsung brands waiting to be discovered, with overlooked brews yearning to be savoured. JIU Asia 2023 is putting the spotlight on these new and exciting variants and vintages, with the aim of elevating them into personal favourites. The annual spirits expo is the first in Singapore to feature a host of local and independent brands, alongside white-label selections and unique whisky collections, over three exploratory and experiential days at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
The highlight of the event is the specially curated Baijiu showcase where visitors will get to taste new and premium expressions of the potent Chinese liquor. They will also be introduced to the ritualistic Baijiu culture (a mainstay in Chinese wedding, holiday and business festivities even today), journey through its thousand-year history and learn how it has grown to become one of the world’s most popular spirit.
In addition to tasting sessions, there will be masterclasses and show-and-tell presentations by industry experts including Alexander Knight, CEO of Whisky Cask Club, Brendan Pillai, co-owner of The Single Cask, and whisky collector Keith Chong. There will also be an exclusive three-day auction by Liquid Gold Auctioneer where you can get your hands on the finest and rarest spirits.
