The Louvre Launches "Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the Louvre" Tour
Last June, Jay-Z and Beyoncé released their first joint album EVERYTHING IS LOVE as The Carters and the world lost their sh*t. Before the album was dropped, the couple released the music video for the album's first single, APES**T. Because it was a Beyoncé production, we could only expect an extravagant setting, and in this case it was the Louvre. In the music video, we see Mr. and Mrs. Carter serving serious couple #goals against the backdrop of the world's greatest masterpieces including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo.
Jumping on the bandwagon, the Louvre Museum of Paris itself has now launched a self-guided tour of the museum called "Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the Louvre", which features the 17 art masterpieces that we see in the music video. That means that fans of the duo can now fully immerse themselves in the APES**T experience.
From the Ceiling of the Galerie d’Apollon that opens the music video and the Winged Victory of Samothrace in front of which The Carters' dance crew performs a stunningly beautiful dance, to the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa, the Louvre has crafted a visitors' trail on their official website, guiding all pilgrims who visit.
