Inspired By The Musei Capitolini, Gucci Décor Presents Souvenir From Rome
Gucci’s home décor line unveils objects of desire inspired by the Musei Capitolini in Rome, where the house presented its Cruise 2020 collection.
Themed Souvenir from Rome, the 2020 collection holds dear the eclectic spirit of Gucci, evident in the exuberant combination of colours, designs and patterns.
We see references to the medieval artefacts and marble ornaments in the galleries of the Musei Capitolini married with Gucci’s iconic motifs of florals and animals. Marbling is at the heart of this launch, where the pattern is handpainted on a lineup of candle holders, ashtrays and plates — made of Richard Ginori porcelain.
Another highlight of this collection is the return of Gucci’s Star Eye. The black and white print is reimagined and enriched by integrating a rainbow design that radiates from the Eye, which is further surrounded by colourful stars on a porcelain ashtray and finished with snake handles on porcelain mugs.
From folding screens to candle holders to blankets, here are our picks from the 2020 Gucci Décor Collection:
