Exploring Singapore's New All-Day Botanical-Inspired Dining Spot, Ginger.Lily
Of Hilton Singapore Orchard’s many dining concepts, the new Ginger.Lily is one of our favourites. The lounge, bar and all-day dining destination serves delicious, wellness-focused fare and Instagram-worthy sweet treats
Hilton Singapore Orchard, which opened its doors just last month, is shaping up into a dining destination of its own – the hotel houses a refurbished Chatterbox, and the award-winning Osteria Mozza. Besides these familiar names, a new concept, the botanical-inspired Ginger.Lily, has emerged as a three-in-one lounge, bar and all-day dining spot.
The restaurant specialises in wellness-focused fare – from healthy all-day options like Low Fat Creamy Brocolli-Kale soup and Gluten-Free Tagliatelle Sea Urchin Pasta, to the prettiest cakes, pastries and confections including Hilton’s iconic cheesecake and (the aptly named) The Ginger.Lily, a black tea roll filled with fruit brandy, peach compote and house-made jam. Speaking of sweets, the hotel’s resident all-day dining spot also serves afternoon tea – for $58++ per person (or $78++ with a glass of champagne), one can expect a selection of house scones and condiments, a variety of 10 premium teas, a dessert drawer with creations inspired by spices and flora, gourmet finger sandwiches and other savoury treats, and more.
And should you be heading to the Hilton at a later hour, Ginger.Lily also works up botanical-inspired cocktails such as Sambal (with sambal-spiced gin) and Torch & Tyme (with Torch flower), and serves craft beers, wines, champagnes and small plates.
What we tried:
The Avocado, an appetizer with organic tri-colour quinoa, grapefruit, heirloom tomatoes, organic lettuce and chardonnay dressing.
Butternut Pumpkin Soup, with mushroom tortellini, truffle oil and chives.
Rock Lobster Risotto, with Laksa-flavoured risotto, lobster tempura and seaweed powder.
A variety of Ginger.Lily cakes – including the Hilton Iconic Cheescake, Black Sesame Swirl Cheesecake, and The Ginger.Lily.
