Every Dog Has Its Day: Moncler X Poldo Dog Couture
You’ve probably heard of dogs that look like their owners, but what about dogs that dress like their owners? Thanks to Moncler, that’s now very much possible. For the third year running, the luxury house has collaborated with Poldo Dog Couture for a collection of canine clothing and accessories that will make a togged-out tyke not just your best friend but also your best accessory. The new animalian wares are part of the brand’s Genius project, which champions the idea of “One House, Different Voices”.
The collection is guaranteed to get tongues (and tails) wagging. Several classics from the Moncler archive, such as gilets and raincoats, are reworked for the fashionable four-legged fido. Nylon laqué vests with boudin quilting and snap closures come in six sizes and an array of vivid colours including yellow, pink, and blue, as well as a tri-toned combination modelled after the French flag, and a reversible version with a knit effect print.
Just in time for the monsoon season, there are also raincoats in sky blue and yellow, made of PVC vinyl and complete with a dog-sized hood. Both styles feature the Moncler logo on the back or at the bottom, along with a Poldo tag on the neck. A matching leash and collar in red, white, and blue complete the series, paying tribute to Moncler’s French roots.
