Bottega Veneta's Come Stai? Finds a Temporary Home in Miami
The event will feature an exhibition, a talk, and a limited-edition book from now till 4 December
For one week only, Design Miami will act as the temporary home to Bottega Veneta and Gaetano Pesce's Come Stai? exhibition. There, guests can expect to see Pesce's site-specific artwork that he debuted at the house's Summer 2023 fashion show in Milan earlier this year. It will feature 400 uniquely-designed resin chairs and a sculptural resin floor in multiple colourways and patterns.
"The chair is a tribute to diversity," says Pesce. "It is about the human being; we are all different. This is our defining quality – otherwise, we are just a copy. We are all originals and this is one of the themes of my design."
As a treat, the chairs will be on display and available for purchase at 153 NE 40th St, Miami, FL 33137 in the Miami Design District from 30 November to 4 December.
That's not all you can find at Come Stai? in Miami. A live conversation – titled 'We Are All Different, and This is Our Defining Quality!' – will also be held between Pesce and Design Miami's Curatorial Director Maria Cristina Didero this afternoon.
The time-limited event will also feature Matthieu Blazy and Pesce's book Come Stai?, as commissioned by Bottega Veneta. The exclusive publication explores the "ideation, approach, and process of collaboration" that Blazy and Pesce practice. It also features an interview between Pesce and Hans Ulrich Obrist, photographs by Stephen Shore and Sander Muylaert, and more.
A book signing will take place after Pesce and Didero's talk later today at the exhibition space. For more information about the exhibition, visit this website.
