Local heiress and entrepreneur Kim Lim, daughter of business magnate Peter Lim and our June/July cover girl, celebrated her birthday with her son, Kyden with a bright carnival-themed party at The Barracks Hotel Singapore on Saturday. The extravaganza saw over 250 attendees on the 23rd, including local artistes and influencers like Zoe Tay, Naomi Neo and Xiaxue. Decked out in a full-pink fit, Kim and her team pulled out all the stops to turn the event space into a fairytale-esque party, fit for the dual celebration.

Pokémon were sighted throughout the party – a favourite of 5-year-old Kyden. And the mother-son duo got to celebrate their birthday weekend with a slew of games at the Karnival. Picture a 30-feet bouncy castle, arcade video games and 10,000 toys. One highlight of the event was the custom-made Human Claw Machine, where guests could be lifted over a ball pit filled with gifts and treat.

Keeping to the “Karnival” theme, lunch was prepared by The Barracks, accompanied by funfair snacks like popcorn, candy floss and ice-cream sandwiches. The snacks made perfect on-the-go treats for the kids at the party, and the adults enjoyed multiple cakes crafted by Kim’s favourite bakery: Creme Maison.

This special event was more than just the glitz and glam. As part of her ongoing charity work, Kim invited guests from selected charities such as North East Community Development Council, SSO@Tampines, as well as Boys’ Town to enjoy the fun at the Karnival. The party continued for another day on Sunday, for the guests to fully indulge themselves in the larger-than-life festivities.
