It is located on Orchard Road

Spanning an estimated 30,000 square feet, Apple Orchard Road (as it is officially named) occupies two levels in Knightsbridge Mall. The first floor is The Avenue, where Apple's core products – the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch – are displayed. Level two is where it gets even more interesting: designed to evoke a "modern-day town square", The Forum is a large space where free hands-on sessions for iPhone photography and iPad illustration will be conducted. The sessions, collectively known as Today at Apple, will be helmed by Apple's Creative Pros.

One thing you can't miss is Apple's entrance: a stunning glass facade measuring 120 feet long – made up of 13 glass panels (each standing 14 metres tall). A 7.62m-long canopy was also specially built outside to provide shelter.

Inside, two curved Castania stone staircases flank both sides of the store. Its design was inspired by Apple Park, the new Apple campus in Cupertino. Hello, Instagram fodder.

The Genius Bar gets a makeover

Its new moniker is the 'Genius Grove'. Under the canopy of live trees, customers can lounge on comfy cube stools and speak to the store's tech experts (aka the Geniuses). Apple Orchard Road is the first in the world to have two Genius Groves under one roof.

It runs on 100% clean energy

The store features environmentally-friendly rooftop solar installations provided by Singapore-based solar energy provider Sunseap Group.
