Highlights from Martell’s Experiential Pop-Up, L’Atelier Martell Singapore

As we’ve predicted, L’Atelier Martell Singapore has been a success thus far. With slightly over a month left to go, here are all of the reasons why you should head down to the space if you haven’t done so already.

Since its launch in Singapore earlier this month, many Cognac aficionados and fans of the Martell House have flocked to its experiential pop-up, L’Atelier Martell Singapore, over at Scotts Square to experience the art of blending and taste the results of their personalised concoctions for themselves. After all, it’s not every day that the public gets to partake in such an immersive pop-up boutique in Singapore.

So if you’ve yet to book a session over at L’Atelier Martell Singapore, here are all of the reasons why you should.

Martell Masterclasses

We personally recommend trying at least one of the masterclasses Maison Martell has to offer. L’Atelier Martell Singapore offers three kinds of sessions: The Art of Blending (VSOP) starting at $100 per pax, Art of Blending (XO) – exclusively for members of Pernod Ricard Singapore’s Le Cercle programme, and a Cognac Tasting featuring the House’s Martell VSOP, Martell Noblige, and Martell Cordon Bleu at just $50 per person.

There, guests can conduct their very own Cognac taste tests to see for themselves what taste profiles they gear to and prefer from the House. They can also learn the proper techniques acquired for blending Cognac, as taught by Martell Brand Ambassador and Cognac expert, Alson Tian.

Masterclass slots can be reserved here.

Cognac from the Cask

Created by Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud himself, Cognac from the Cask delivers the best of Martell’s finest blends straight from its birthplace; an exclusive experience so well-received that Martell's N°1 Aromatic Oak blend was sold out in just 2 weeks.

Now, guests will be able to fill a 70ml montre directly from an authentic oak barrel all the way from Cognac and taste for themselves the richness of the Maison’s Blend N°4 Fresh Citrus Cognac. The lively and airy blend contains floral and fruity notes, made interesting with a citrusy aroma, that's the perfect representation of length and balance in a luxe Cognac.

Guests can purchase a bottle of their own for only $128, and $188 for special serial numbers. The N°4 Blend is limited to up to 300 bottles for retail only. The bottle is also available at http://mar.tl/lateliermartellsg.

The Rest of The Experience

1 / 6

If attending a masterclass is not your cup of tea, visit the space to try cocktail versions of your favourite Martell Cognacs. The Bar of Swifts serves up three special cocktails by Martell's Master Mixologist Remy Savage – the Cerise, Washi, and the ever-so-popular Noblige & Coffee, as well as four unique concoctions that are sure to tickle your fancy – Les Tropiques, Martell Julep, Cognac Buck, and Out of the Blue.

Our personal favourite? Out of the Blue, a cocktail curated out of Martell VSOP, Mint Leaves, Lemon Juice, Sugar Syrup, and Angostura Bitters – a subtly-sweet blend that doesn’t overly distort the signature taste of Martell.

The traditional Martell Cognac is also available for purchase, to be served as a shot, neat or on the rocks.
