All Aboard – Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas

Living up to its name, Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas thrills with exciting rides, breathtaking views and almost 20 dining options onboard

Skydiving, surfing, rock climbing and even adventuring on a virtual reality bungee trampoline – these are some rip-roaring activities that thrill seekers will relish at sea, onboard the Spectrum of the Seas. Just last month, the action-packed ship arrived in Singapore offering three- and four-night ocean getaways – it is expected to continue making a splash here, through to April 2023.

If you’re not an adrenaline junkie, there’s plenty else that’ll take you on board. For breathtaking views, hop on the North Star at the top deck of the ship – the jewel-shaped glass capsule gets raised gently to over 300-feet above sea level, before rotating over the sides of the ship for a 360-degree view. Gamers will surely call the ship’s Seaplex home – the indoor space houses an arcade, bumper cars, and of course, a hotdog house. Those who are onboard to unwind will find themselves in smooth water – at the poolside bars and in Jacuzzi pools, and with the numerous live entertainment options (the gravity-defying Gold Art Duo, of America’s Got Talent fame, is just one of the acts onboard).

The Silk Road – a live show onboard Spectrum

No getaway is complete without a gastronomic experience or two, and Spectrum lives up to its name with an array of specialty restaurants. There are 19 dining spots, to be exact. Wonderland serves whimsical Alice in Wonderland-inspired treats, and there are – pardon the pun – plenty of fish in the sea when it comes to Asian-fare, with Sichuan Red, Teppanyaki, Hot Pot and tea-room-meets-café, Leaf & Bean.
