A Celebration of Creativity at Chivas’ ‘I RISE, WE RISE’ Pop-Up

Chivas recently unveiled their latest pop-up, ‘I RISE, WE RISE’, with a two-week takeover of coffeeshop Chye Seng Huat Hardware at 150 Tyrwhitt Road. With creativity at the heart of the experience, the pop-up brings together creative visionaries from different facets, promising a fortnight of chill activities, especially for those who are interested in NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and looking for a fresh cocktail bar experience.
Chivas Totem
Right in the courtyard of the ‘I RISE, WE RISE’ space stands a 4.2m Chivas bottle beacon, that features 200 old-design Chivas bottles. The huge bottle is built in the design of the new Chivas-12 bottles that are sleeker, lighter and made from 100% environmentally-friendly packaging. The illuminated installation also makes the perfect Instagram photo opportunity.
‘Proof of Art’ NFT Art Showcase
Featuring five artists from a variety of disciplines, the ‘Proof of Art’ NFT showcase highlights the works of MOJOKO, Kristal Melson, Jonathan Liu, Aundraj Jude and O$P$. These local and overseas artists have incorporated NFTs into their practice, elevated through their personal explorations of photography, music and even 3D surrealistic AR (augmented reality) amongst other styles. Curated by creative collective CTRL: UNIT, the artworks are a nod to the technology taking the art world by storm.
On view from 6 to 19 May from 12pm to 10pm daily. Admission is free.
‘Proof of Art’ NFT Talks and Panel Sessions
No one can deny the boom of NFT in the art world. With two days of NFT-focused talks and panel discussions, the ‘I RISE, WE RISE’ pop-up has invited various NFT artists and experts to lead the discussion on a multitude of topics related to the industry.
Following the first day of talks on 7 May, Chivas has invited Ernest Wu, Shavonne Wong, Serial Co and Clara Pei and Jonathan Liu from NFT Asia to come together for two talks and a panel session on 14 May. They will be covering areas of interest such as launching an NFT collection, getting noticed in the NFT space as well as the future of the industry.
Held on 14 May with various sessions from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Admission is free.
'I RISE, WE RISE' — Pop-Up Cocktail Bar
Enjoy all-day drinking at the cocktail bar that spotlights three cocktails concocted by all-female bartenders, inspired by the dynamic lead by Blackpink’s Lisa as Chivas’ new Asia brand ambassador.
The event-exclusive drinks are ‘Regal Matters’ crafted by Desiree Jane from Sago House, ‘Cindy Highball’ by Hazel Long from Junior The Pocket Bar and ‘Stone Fence’ by Juan Yijun from No Sleep Club. The three drinks, helmed by coconut-washed Chivas 12, genmaicha Chivas 12 and pickled jalapeño-infused Chivas 13 Rye Cask respectively, are innovative cocktails that will bring your ‘I RISE, WE RISE’ experience to the next level.

Chivas Tasting Session
If you’re big on whisky, why not attend a 1-hour tasting session to bring your tastebuds on a ride? Led by Chivas whisky brand ambassador, Anna Mitchell, taste four signature blends from the brand. The blends include the iconic Chivas 18-year-old and the new Chivas 12-year-old, as well as two exciting iterations – Chivas Extra 13 American Rye Cask and Chivas XV.
Only on 11 May at 7pm and on 15 May at 5pm. $30 per 1-hour session.
Chivas Blending Masterclass
In celebration of World Whisky Day, immerse yourself in the full experience and make your own creative blend of whisky with brand ambassador Anna Mitchell. Sample five component whiskies that make up the classic Chivas taste after learning more about the history behind the legacy brand. This programme comes with a Chivas Blending Kit worth $50.
