Van Cleef & Arpels' Lady Arpels Jour Enchanté and Nuit Enchanté

Van Cleef & Arpels tells an enchanting tale of dawn and dusk in a pair of kaleidoscopic tableaux dedicated to nature. In the heart of one extraordinary dial, a white gold fairy is seen gathering flowers under a turquoise sky bathed in the sunny radiance of spessartites grenats, coloured sapphires and diamonds. She plucks a blossom with gentle hands, its perfect petals delicately sculpted through a wondrous new technique called façonné enamelling. Around her, white gold leaves glow in the soft morning light, diamond dewdrops floating freely within their translucent plique-à-jour enamel.

Nightfall arrives on the second dial; the fairy retreats to her crystal cavern to recline on her flowerbed. Through lapidary magic, rough-cut sapphires with pink and purple nuances provide shelter and serenity, while a prodigious rock crystal with rose gold markers tells the time. The ornamental stones are illuminated by an evening sky fashioned from glimmering grisaille enamel.
