Van Cleef & Arpels' Frivole collection has always been about the delicate beauty of flowers — an elegant display of how, when it comes to jewellery, less can indeed be more. This year's latest additions to the Frivole collection continue that ethos.
Top of the list are the new creations in rose gold and diamonds: An graceful triptych that includes earrings, a pendant and a bracelet, all bearing the Frivole's iconic flower motif — mini-models that were made to accentuate the natural glow of its wearer's skin.
Other new creations include an exquisite between the finger ring, whose heart-shaped petals unfurl gracefully, as if floating on air. The asymmetry of the ring also allows it to capture as much light as possible, bringing forth a freshness and life reminiscent of the summer.
As is to be expected from Van Cleef & Arpels, each piece has been worked over to perfection during the creative process. At the core of every creation from the Parisian maison is light — and how best to capture it.
In the Frivole collection, this manifests itself through the House's signature openwork technique, where artisans painstakingly perforate the gold structure to enable light to pass through each diamond.
