For decades Longines has espoused the philosophy that “Elegance is an Attitude”, so when the time came to appoint a local ambassador, it was only natural that the Swiss watchmaker should choose someone who well embodies such a sophisticated spirit — award-winning actress Rebecca Lim, who was recently announced as Longines’ friend of the brand in Singapore.

As a true thespian who constantly seeks to hone her craft and to push boundaries by taking on multi-faceted roles across film and television, Lim shares much in common with the luxury house. “It is an honour to be considered as a member of the Longines family,” the actress said in statement. “Longines’ commitment to excellence and elegance represents the very same values I have embraced in my passion for my craft.”

And to kick off the partnership, Lim now plays a starring role in a new campaign for Longines’ DolceVita collection of timepieces.

Inspired by an archival model from the 1920s, this classic collection is an ode to, you guessed it, la dolce vita — the belief that life should be lived to its fullest. Characterised by a fluid rectangular silhouette, the timelessly elegant design comes in a variety of case sizes and dial finishes, such as silvered flinqué, iridescent mother-of-pearl, and subtly shimmery midnight blue.

This year, along with a new matte white dial, the DolceVita debuts a new interchangeable leather strap in two widths and eight colours, including turquoise, coral, lime green, taupe, buttercup yellow, and more. Equipped with a “quick switch” system for convenience, there’s an option to suit every mood, situation or personality, making it the ideal day-to-day (and day-to-night) choice.

The refreshed DolceVita range is shown off perfectly by Rebecca in a series of short videos, which follows the actress as she goes about her daily activities, from getting ready in the morning to browsing the shops to preparing for a (socially distanced) dinner party, all accompanied by her faithful companion, the DolceVita.
