The month of March officially marks Women’s History Month, with March 8 officially being International Women’s Day - a day where we celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of all women, while highlighting the existing problems we face in our day to day. Though we’ve made several fronts towards the fight for gender equality, women-owned businesses are still underrepresented in Singapore, amounting to just 27% of all businesses, according to a report in Accenture.

Which is why, we’re taking the time on this special day to spotlight some of the local, female-owned brands that are worthy of your patronage. After all, of all the accessories we love and cherish, jewellery can be the most sentimental. So whether you're looking for an upcoming gift, or a purchase to treat yourself with, these local female-owned labels combine quality and beautiful design that'll be sure to suit any style and occasion.
