Cartier Celebrates a Daring New Image
The inexhaustible world of flora once again breathes a modern wind into fine jewelery. Inspired by the cactus, Cartier seems to materialize the complex facets of femininity. Able to survive in inhospitable environments, these fascinating plants, which are admired exclusively with a glance, wait for the night to cover themselves with flowers. To succumb to it would be to recover its wild state, its rebellious side, without compromising on its natural elegance. It is this duality that is showcased by muse Mariacarla Boscono, a Roman beauty with an assured feline look, in the campaign Cactus de Cartier. The model portrays a woman with sophistication that is shifted in a Dada context, breaking the usual codes of a luxury film. An additional (and nice) way to position the Cactus line as the ultra-chic underdog.
